Just awesome. There are so many situations where I have wished that this happened to me.

Super Sunglasses
Its almost summer and “Super Sunglasses” has recently released their Spring Summer 2010 collection, and it can’t get much hotter than this. The new line of Super Sunglasses bring the brand’s trademark retro/futurism as they always do, maintaining their relevance in the fashion movement not just of today, but the one around the corner as well.

HP Slate

So Microsoft/HP managed to get a Tablet out before Apple at this months CES. There’s not a whole lot of details surrounding the product but it sure looks cool. It runs windows as expected and even uses pinch to zoom technology! (copy cat) It’s also multitouch, and can do some gaming — they showed it playing Frogger.

Chrome OS
So Google quietly unveiled some concept stuff on Chrome OS yesterday… and needless to say… it looks sickkkk!!! Recently I switched almost everything I do onto Google platforms…. GMAIL, Google Reader, Analytics, Google Docs… Google knows where its at and seems to be releasing useful product.
Now I’m amped on Google OS.. Or Chrome OS as they call it. If you’re into this kind of stuff, I suggest watching both of these videos. Google seems to be the new Apple. In a world where the magic mouse can’t even hold it’s battery life for 2 weeks, here’s hoping Google one day starts doing some sort of hardware to crush the big guys.

LED Tattoo’s
Ok so I came across this rather interesting idea of LED tattoo’s. New LED tattoos from the University of Pennsylvania could make your skin come to life in a rather uique way. Researchers there are developing silicon-and-silk implantable devices which sit under the skin like a tattoo. Already implanted into mice, these tattoos could carry LEDs, turning your skin into a screen.

Blackberry Bold 9700
RIM has officially announced the BlackBerry Bold 9700 – the ultimate traditional BlackBerry to date. With more memory, a better camera and the new optical trackpad, the 9700 really does pack more punch into a smaller form factor than the original Bold 9000. It’s visually stunning and the new features make me angry that I just bought the Bold 9000 earlier this month!! Oh well maybe I’ll just wait for Bold 3! You can view the features and specs here, and find out more about the new device here.

HP Beats
On October 22nd HP will be releasing a limited amount of HP Envy 15″ Beats laptops. These have been specially designed by/for Dr. Dre to be used with the Beats headphones. The design is cool and apparently it will change the way we listen to music… well we’ll see about that. Check it out here.

Sire Eyewear
Even though fall has started, these glasses by SIRE Eyewear are easily the sexiest of summer. SIRE Eyewear is hand-crafted from natural water buffalo horn. I still think they should kill a bunch of elephants and make them out of Ivory.
Microsoft Courier
Images and info courtesy of Gizmodo
So here it is, after all the speculation of Apple’s magnificent tablet device Microsoft gets there first. And it looks good. This is the Microsoft Courier:

Courier User Interface from Gizmodo on Vimeo.
The Courier is said to be in its “last stages” of development and can be described as more of a booklet than a tablet. The dual 7-inch (or so) screens are multitouch, and designed for writing, flicking and drawing with a stylus, in addition to fingers. They’re connected by a hinge that holds a single iPhone-esque home button. Statuses, like wireless signal and battery life, are displayed along the rim of one of the screens. On the back cover is a camera, and it might charge through an inductive pad, like the Palm Touchstone charging dock for Pre.
The Courier user experience presented here is almost the exact opposite of what everyone expects the Apple tablet to be, a kung fu eagle claw to Apple’s tiger style. It’s complex: Two screens, a mashup of a pen-dominated interface with several types of multitouch finger gestures, and multiple graphically complex themes, modes and applications. (Our favorite UI bit? The hinge doubles as a “pocket” to hold items you want move from one page to another.) Microsoft’s tablet heritage is digital ink-oriented, and this interface, while unlike anything we’ve seen before, clearly draws from that, its work with the Surface touch computer and even the Zune HD.

Blink182 & Doritos
Here’s some interesting news… Doritos has teamed up with Big Boi and Blink-182 to come out with a virtual concert broadcast via webcam. Interesting… All of the “free” virtual tickets are already “sold out,” the website explains… but if you buy a bag a Doritos in the coming month a code will be provided granting you access to the concert event.
Cool concept, interested to see how this turns out. Blink-182 is my favorite band so I will definitely check this out… Only problem is that it is only open to people in America, so any other country will have to wait just a little longer.

Try New Things
Why is every Skittles commercial amazing?? I suggest watching all of these… The print ad is especially amazing. You have to realize that this kid had a dance party with a bear… This is my kind of advertising…

Dr. Detox
Below we see Dr. Dre in a new Dr. Pepper commercial. While most people would see this as a sellout, Dre finds a way to make it relevant because at the end of the video we get our first listen of a beat from his highly anticipated Detox album, his first since 2001. It’s not much but it’s exciting to know we’re getting closer to the release, enjoy!

So check out this sweet sweet car. I really hope they go further with this… I can imagine myself driving this beast everywhere. Just being cool and smoking and driving. Awesome. DAMN MERCEDES.
